Dr. Ehsan Ebrahimnia-Bajestan received his Ph.D. from the Ferdowsi University of Mashhad, Iran in 2012. He is working as a faculty member at Mechanical Engineering Department at Quchan University of Technology, Iran.

Currently, he has joined BioMEMS and Bioinspired Microfluidic Laboratory at University of Calgary, in Canada, as a Visiting Scholar, mainly focusing on the Application of Nanofluids in Biomedical Engineering and Petroleum Engineering.

As a Visiting Fellow, he has also joined the Microfluidic Lab at University of New South Wales in Sydney, Australia, working on the Microfluidics, and the Application of Nanofluids in Solar Energy. He spent a one-year sabbatical leave under the supervision of Prof. Somchai Wongwises, focusing on the synthesis, flow and heat transfer characteristics of nanofluids, at King Mongkut University of Technology Thonburi in Thailand in 2010.

Ehsan has several publications in top-ranked journals in the field of Mechanical Engineering.  He also has a wide range of teaching and research experience and thesis guidance at both undergraduate and graduate levels.

He is very enthusiastic about collaborating with the multidisciplinary research teams in the fields of Nanotechnology, Chemistry, Solar Energy, Mechanical and Chemical Engineering, Biology, and Electrical Engineering.
